Chocolate Brownies

Who doesn’t like chocolate brownies? These cake like brownies will surely impress your guests. Perfect for tea times. I’ve made these brownies i believe 7 to 8 times and each time, they turned out beautifully.

What you need>>>

Butter———- 200g
Brown sugar———- 350g
Eggs——————– 4
Cocoa powder——– 4tbsp
All-purpose flour—- 250g
Baking powder——– 3 1/2 tsp
Walnuts—————-  85 g chopped
Milk ——————– 50 ml (optional)

How it’s made>>>

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease and line 9″x 13″ pan.
  2. Sift flour then sift twice with cocoa powder and baking powder.
  3. Place butter and sugar in a bowl and beat till fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and beat well.
  5. Add flour and beat till mixed.
  6. Stir in walnuts, add milk if the batter is too thick.
  7. Pour into a pan and bake it for 40-45 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan and them take it out.

Chocolate Frosting:

What you need>>>

Cocoa powder——– 3 tbsp
Butter—————— 2 tbsp
Hot water————– 4 tbsp
Icing sugar————- 225 g

How it’s made>>>

  1. Place cocoa powder and butter into a bowl and stir in boiling water until smooth.
  2. Stir in sugar.

Spread frosting over the brownies and then cut into squares. You can also simply sprinkle some icing sugar on top instead of the frosting.

You can also heat them up again and place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for the cake Alaska effect :)

    I love anything that has chocolate in it !

    The idea of ice cream on top seems like an even better one.
